Danny Fortson
C'mon, he's just big-boned!

Ah, training camp. The smell of linament, the sound of Reggie Evans clanging free throws, ... and Danny Fortson's overweight:
Danny Fortson, acquired from Dallas in the offseason in the trade of Calvin Booth, appears to be overweight, though McMillan said he will wait to see how Fortson carries the weight.

From the News Tribune
Well, I hear black is slimming, but most of Danny's weight is in his hips, so ...

Seriously, this may be Fortson's last chance to get some dollars in the NBA. He had two choices this off-season: Option 1 was to stay in shape and impress the Sonics with his attitude, Option 2 was to eat Fritos and watch Oprah.

I'm putting the over/under for Danny Fortson's first hamstring pull at 18 games.

Hopefully he's not watching Oliver Miller and thinking "Hey, I can still put on 50lbs and have a job in the NBA!"

It will be nice to have someone that will knock fools around in the paint.

As soon as I heard about the Fortson trade, I became optimistic about the Sonics. That was a couple months ago and now I'm about ready to cancel my subscription to FSN. Here was my reasoning: Fortson solidifies our PF: Fortson, Collison and Evans. Then I thought: well, if we can solidify one position, then we can clear up some of the problems with other positions. IE: Ray Allen and Flip Murray both being 20+ scorers at 2, and Radman and Lewis having a rotation like a centrifuge. As time wore on I continued to grow less confident... and now here we are. Here is the Sonics' solution to those problems: Give Flip a chance at point, and bring in Ibo (creating more problems at sg/sf). Who do you think we can draft at no. 12 in the 2005 draft?
