Curious George

Goodbye lattes, hello skinheads!

Anyone up for a road trip to Boise this December?
In what's being deemed a "perfect fit" for this stage of his life, blue collar coaching legend George Karl is taking the next evolutionary step in his basketball career.

Announced just minutes ago in Boise, Karl will join the ownership group of the Continental Basketball Association's Idaho Stampede. "We are delighted to have George join our ownership team," beamed managing partner Bill Ilett. "Our ownership group has kept one share available since the team's inception for a dynamic and charismatic individual. We believe George's enthusiasm, passion for basketball, and community involvement are a perfect fit for our group."

From Hoopsworld.
I'm putting the over/under on the George Karl in Idaho experiment at 8 months.

Chief,

Here's a link to the Sonics' schedule for 04-05 (http://www.nba.com/sonics/schedule/). Can you post it on the site?

Thanks,

Done - and next time, e-mail me! This message space is intended solely for the talking of smack by the four or five people who happen upon our site while Googling for "Ibrahim Kutluay, Sonics, Nude". (Well, maybe not the nude part.)

Must I remind you all again about the rules of posting?!

P.S. Oh, and thanks for writing 98% of the content on this site. For free. (Man, am I a jerk!)

Exactly how deep into White Supremacist Territory is Boise? 'Cause I can stock up on the whiteface makeup at the Halloween sales.

Back in topic: I think George will make a fine CBA owner. Hell, the town is called "BEER TOWN"!

If you want to read about George's last tour in the CBA, I highly recommend getting "Life on the Rim", the excellent book by David Levine.

"Back ON Topic", I mean.

Actually, the "Beer City" reference in the article is to Milwaukee, not Boise, which is, of course, known as "TAB City."

I think I've been spending a little too much time in Beer Town/City/World myself lately.
